Treat Nov 10, 2011
When you are done visiting the cathedral in Segovia, this patisserie just off plaza mayor might be worth a quick visit. It’s mentioned in the LP, so inevitably attracts the tourists. That said, it is a rather smart and sweet cake shop with a good range of products to choose from. I went for the Segovia ponche, which is a sponge cake with lemon flavour and some booze in it as well! A little too sweet and sickly for me, and not amazingly special, but at least it was a local treat to try! Priced at 3 Euros for a small cake, the value for money isn’t that great, but it’s worth a visit if you feel like an indulgent treat!
