Light and Sound show @ Red-fort is a unique experience to understand the story behind from the existence of Delhi in Mughal emperor Shahjahan rule till India's Independence.
This light and sound show happens twice in the evening daily. First show is in Hindi, Indian national language and the second one is in English.
The show I have attended was in Hindi and scheduled between 7PM and 8.30PM due to summer weather. As per the sign board in winter these shows will happen one hour prior to summer time.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the voice of history explaining how the mughal emperor Shahjahan identified the place to build the city to her daughter building the market near the city to death of Shahjahan to last generation of mughals loosing rule to Ali in a war to Marathis and British.
Towards the end of the show Indian independence struggle was represented through the speeches of Azad and Gandhi with Vande Mataram and Sare jaha se acha tunes and Ends with Nehru speah on Independence from Red-fort with Jana Gana Mana, India's National Anthem.
Priced at 80 IRS on weekends for Indian citizens and around 5USD for other Nationals, this show is highly recommended for all visit Delhi to understand the history behind Delhi.
