Essentially, I looked like a real life Anime character. This was not exactly to my benefit in Japan. My sisters and I completed most of our education off base. We went to private schools that taught in English. They were populated mostly by Okinawan children or half Okinawan children with a few Phillipinos… Oh My Gawd ~The Food

…is the house in the Kishaba Terrace development of Camp Foster Marine Corps Base where she spent the first 8 months of her life before they moved all the Army families back to America when the 173rd Airborne Division jumped into Vietnam in May 1965.  Interesting side note:  There was an Okinawan woman married to a US Marine living in the same house during our visit… Jenny finds the house on Camp Foster where she was born

We spent an hour on the internet, at least 10 minutes of which was figuring out how to change the keyboard from Japanese to English so we could type! :) I enjoyed Okinawa and would return here, there are many other sights we could have seen, but we enjoyed just wandering around and soaking up life here on the island! … Konichiwa
