Natural setting in the City Limits Oct 29, 2008
The Nature center consists of a smaller museum/interpretative center. Taxidermies are on display as well as exhibits that explain nature and wildlife. There are few trails in the area around wetlands and in the forest. The trails are very easy. Parents with children, elderly people or people with disabilities should not have any problems there. If you really enjoy hiking, the center is not big enough for you. And if you like to enjoy wildlife in a natural setting, this one is too small and to close to the city to keep wildlife there. I was a little disappoited by the Nature Center and theat an entrance fee is charged. There are many free opportunities in and around Memphis to see wildlife in well kept parks and natural forests and wetlands. My personal recommendation: Save the money and enjoy nature somewhere else for free.
