I started in Tripoli where I witnessed more billboards dedicated to one man (Colonel QADHAFI) then I've ever seen anywhere. It could also have simply been advertising for Ray-ban and Police sunglasses.Libya boasts the longest stretch of coast in the mediteranean. To highlight this fact they've also…

a really memorable experience!
Four of us (two french friends, my wife and me) in a mini expedition crossing the Sahara desert to the remote location of Waw-al Namus, a black volcanic cone in the middle of nowhere, to observe the sun during an impressive total eclipse

Tobruk, Libya -› Tunisia -› …
A trip across North Africa from Tunisia to Ancient Cairo. Tunisia a pleasant suprise.Modern roads and transport network.Hidden historical gems and beautiful Coastline.Libya was an experience and mostly pleasant.Terrible roads, though they are being improved.Maniac drivers.Still few western tourists so the main sights were quiet. As in many countries patience is required that and an adventurous spirit will see you through.Alexandria in Eid holidays was chaotic fun unless you are squeamish!!

Al Gatrun, Libya -› Wour, Chad -› …
Serir Tibesti means loneliness - its amongst the most remote places of the world. hundreds of kilometers of gravel planes, no vegetation at all, no traffic. We follow some traces that seem quite new and that correspond with our GPS data. Our nervousness is immense - driving this route all alone wit…
