Really awesome little bar/restaurant on Main St. The best thing about this place is that they have a ton of beer on tap -- over 29 according to their website. I had the Spaten Munchen beer, which was decent, but they also serve "Great White" beer here from the Lost Coast Brewery. I first had "Great White" at Father's Office in Santa Monica, and it was one of the more delicious beers I have ever had. Highly recommended.

One drawback of this place is that it seems to close pretty early (around 11PM or midnight). Haven't tried the food here, but it seems like lots of people come here to eat dinner. Would be a good place to grab dinner and a few drinks before getting the rest of the night started!

Seating is very limited!

The Library Ale House is a restaurant on Santa Monica's main street.

I've only been there twice, once with a buddy, and once on a date. The restaurant lives up to its name -- it has a very wide and interesting selection of beers, some of which are almost as strong as wine in their alcohol content.

The food it good, although not exceptional, and the portions are very large.

The atmosphere is also nice -- the inside is cozy and dim, but also lively, and there is a very nice patio area with heat lamps that has a European feel to it.

Over all, a very nice place to bring a date or have dinner and a beer with buddies.
