The country is just recovering from civil war and the infrastructure is horrible. I have visited the country twice now and will travel to Liberia again this year. It is NOT easy to travel within Liberia if you don't have your own vehicle and a good driver!

An interesting and important city (as local people say - in fact a town) in Nimba county. Market place for surrounding villages residents. Regular tuesday´s markets are visited by traders even from Monrovia.

Yet another trip to Liberia..! This time the rainy season had not really stopped so the roads were impossible/ impassable! The trip was extended so instead of the 2 weeks I had planned, I ended up staying for 3 weeks. As I have already posted many pictures from Liberia, here are just a few more..!
