"This hostel is...a great value for the money!" They do not accept credit cards, however, there is are two ATM machines within a block, next to the metro station and grocery store. A 24 hour public transportation card costs 100 CK and is good on all forms of public transportation within the city.

The location is hard to find if using a GPS (it took us about 2 hours), however, it is one block from the Florenc metro station in Prague District 8. If you decide to drive, ask about "safe" parking at the reception. We paid 200 CK per night for parking and our car was locked in a garage, so to speak. We had access to it and it was very secure.

The rooms are situated in what looks like an apartment. One section was the original bedroom and the rest of the apartment was renovated to become a hostel. The rooms are rather big. The beds are not made upon arrivable. There is a pro and a con to this - pro, you know the shirts are clean; con, you have to make the bed.We were on the third flor and it had a 1 WC, 3 bathrooms with showers, and 1 bathroom was just a tub. The arrangment made getting dressed a breeze and there was never a wait. Each bathroom was supplied with soap and toilet paper. There was plenty of hot water available 24 hours a day! Each room is locked with a key. You will be given 3 keys upon check in (there is no additional deposit for this) - one key is for the front door, one key is for your apartment door, and the last key is for your room door. There are no lockers in the room but the reception can hold anything of value for you.

The common area consist of a kitchen with a TV. The stove nor the range work but there is a fridge and microwave. Dishes and dish washing liquid are available for your use.

There is no lock-out or curfew at Levir Hostel. The only bad thing that we noticed was that the rooms were not cleaned daily nor was the trash emptied. There is no shortage of heat, which was nice because it got pretty cold at night. I would stay here again, especially now that I know where it is! :)

In our hostel our rooms are quiet and clea...(see more)
