Loti in Lesotho Mar 07, 2009
The legal tender of Lesotho is the Loti called maloti in plural. Each loti is divided into 100 sente (cent) with the plural of sente being lisente. The plural of the loti is maloti, which means that the currency is often denoted as L meaning 1 loti, or M meaning more than 1 loti! My friends and I spent 4 days in Lesotho where we engaged in cultural activities to understand the cultures and traditions of the people.
