Airport restaurants do better Mar 22, 2014
N50°5.424' E14°25.067' Strategically located between Jewish synagogues, this Belgian styled restaurant was the place for us to have lunch in April 2013. The waiter suggested a baguette with our salads and presented a paper bag with inside slices of bread and additional butter and olive oil. Serving the salads, he also served the baguette. Not more than toasted bread. We didn't understand the need for so much bread with the salad.
The Cesar salad lacked the egg and anchovies. The dill salad was greasy. Could be better. Real Belgians know how to properly prepare these salads. During our visit in April 2013 the toilets confirmed the lack of details and hospitality: dirty with no toilet paper.
A covert was added to the bill. This was the unrequested paper bag with bread. Because we ordered baguette, we refused to pay for the covert. The waiter protested that the paper bag was standard. But why suggest the baguette than? We left this tourist trap restaurant unconvinced of its quality and service. A disgrace to Belgian food and hospitality.
