Les Loges du Park Saint-Denis Reviews
Parked in Saint-Denis Oct 18, 2011
Les Loges du Park is a perfectly fine choice if you are seeking low budget accommodations in Saint-Denis. Even though it is located in a run-down section of town, I walked around quite a bit and safety should not be any concern. It was easy finding the hotel, but be aware you will need to turn off Rue Voltaire onto an alley which shortly dead ends at Les Loges (there is a sign, see picture). You are allowed to park your car in the unmarked spaces at the end of the alley.
The hotel is fenced in with a locked gate at the entrance – when you check in you receive a key to your room and another one for the gate. Within the gate is a pleasant oasis: a small courtyard complete with palm trees, covered outdoor eating area with tables, a washing machine and even a covered kitchen area around back. The washing machine and kitchen combo leads me to conclude this place appeals to folks trekking or making long term sojourns on a budget.
Even though my room was cramped it had an en suite bathroom and everything was clean and tidy. My window looked out the front and was open to allow a warm breeze in which felt quite refreshing. Wi-fi was available at no charge (just need to grab a device from the front desk) and there is apparently English speaking staff around until 6PM. My check out was slightly delayed because I discovered the front office is locked up tight until 8AM (not certain when they close at night), but a minor concern. Had I not wanted to return the wi-fi device I probably could have just left the key in my room since I had prepaid upon check in.
Staff was friendly and accommodating – a good deal for the price.
