Les Coupoles Paris Reviews
specialites francaises Jun 10, 2012
Found this brasserie randomly while looking for somewhere to eat with a friend.. We both lived in paris, but here was not an area which we knew a lot..
it was just empty (ok there were 2 people inside, thats all, but also it was around around 6:30, so still bit early to have dinner).. We still thought we should have a go, the menu seemed nice & i really wanted to eat real french food (i really miss it, here in germany,i dont feel that lucky:wurst oder kartoffeln ;) )
restaurant mainly specialised in cuisine auvergnate, so you would find good beef, such as boeuf a l'echalotte, or steak tartare or quiche au cantal etc.. But also plats du jour such as terrines etc..
they also had desserts which looked yummy, but didnt take any, being careful.. One week back in france = much weight gained especially when switching between restaurants & mums great food..
food is excellent ! & for you tourists who want to try french food in a french restaurant (ie not a touristy french trap restaurant, i would defintitely check it out, & im sure it would be cheaper than in those traps & obviously much more authentic)
it is a cheap restaurant for paris ! & not touristic.. Around 8 pm or so, much regulars barged in & had their usual beers or wines.. We had lost the calm.. But it was still as nice as some came to talk to us for a few minutes..
dont be scared, from the outside it might not look that attractive as a restaurant, but the food is awesomely nice & its decorated with nice pics of cows (which won my friends heart & she even discussed with the staff about cows & the different races ; i dont know anything about it, but got to learm a little)..
im definitely taking my flatmate here when he comes to visit..
bon appétit !
