Leprechaun Bar Banos Reviews
A cool bar with bonfire - Leprechaun Bar Jul 17, 2009
This fun bar is located in the heart of the city. It's a 2 floors building. The first floor is about the bar and a small dance floor, the 2nd floor is just a dance floor with couple of seats.
While the inside of this bar is a typical dark, disco-ball lit, two-story dance floor with blasting music like: salsa, merengue, reggaeton, hip hop, rock and more.
On crowded nights, the back patio opens up where there is an outdoor bar and then you find the coolest of this bar: a big pit in the middle where a bonfire blazes.
They serve tasty drinks and you can meet a lot of travelers, enjoying this unique patio. If you are tired, there are plenty of spaces for chilling with a drink away from the drawl of the big music. But if you are in the mood, you can dance and enjoy the music too.
They don't charge any cover and prices are average, not expensive.
If you want to get a nice spot near the bonfire, I recommend you to arrive early.

Salsa party Oct 19, 2009
The centre of Baños has a whole street of salsatheca's where you can dance the night away. Make no mistake though: in most salsatheca's you can only hear the beats of the latest American popmusic.
I ended up at the Leprecaun Bar. If you are early you can ask the staff for salsamusic. The average barowner loves to see tourists and before you know it you get a free welcoming drink with a flame (seriously!) and the barstaff is showing you every inch of the dancefloor while giving you spontanious salsa lessons.
At a later hour, when the lokale (young) people of Baños have arrived the mood is still excellent and it is a thrill to see everybody dance like crazy to the hits of Shakira.
