Lemon Tree Hotel Anaheim

First of all, I DID like the room. It was clean and well appointed. The bed was really comfortable. There was a kitchen with pots/pans/etc. Nice toiletries, fairly thick towels. The hotel has a pool and a small workout facility, all aerobics, no weights. The air conditioner worked well.
On the negative side. Our toilet overflowed and the maintenance man was irritable and did everything he could to get out of fixing it. He wanted us to just leave it until morning. The front desk closes at night; thus we could not get another room. But I did NOT want to spend a night in a room with raw sewage flowing across the hallway/bathroom and part of the bedroom area. The maintenance man stated that it was NOT his job to repair things at night, "I am off duty". We got the toilet repaired the next day. However; I did complain to the front desk and they did not even apologize for our having been left in a room with raw sewage on the floors and no working toilet!
We also found a dead mouse in the bathroom. And, the sink overflowed as well while we were there.
One night we returned to find the police there. It seems that someone's room was broken into and their laptop stolen. That just confirmed my suspicions that the hotel is not in a very safe neighborhood.
And, this hotel is NOT on the bus route which goes to Disneyland. It is about 5 miles from Disneyland and cost us a fortune in cab fair.
My advice: stay in a hotel right by Disneyland. You won't save money by staying here. You'll be safer, your personal items will be safer and you'll receive better value by getting a motel deal right by Disneyland.
