This brewery has been around since the 1800s. It is in a few very old, historic buildings. The distribution area includes only a few states around the Upper Midwest, so chances are, a lot of people out there haven't had it. It's pretty interesting to see how it's all made. The tour guides really know a lot. The tour is normally not longer than an hour, and it's free! Also, you always get two free glasses of beer which is a definite plus! It can get pretty busy on the weekends, especially around Oktoberfest time. I recommend calling and making a reservation, or if you don't mind hanging around the Lodge for a while, then you can just show up and wait.
