A quite place for a drink or a snack Jul 05, 2007
Named after one of Belgiums most famous beers, "Leffe", this café in the center of Leuven is a great place for having a delicious pint. It is a simple bar, though I like it because it is rather quiet. In the evenings sometimes it is hard to find a café on the old market where the music isn't too laud to have a comfortable talk (ouch, that makes me sound old). Anyway, when you are not so much in for a party or a dance, but rather have a chat, Leffe café is a nice choice. They offer quite some Belgian beers as well as good simple food, including some really Belgian dishes. The interior is a bit rustic but yet not old fashioned.

I can't be lyric about this though. Staff is nice but nothing more. Prices aren't expensive but neither cheap, location is very good but not yet perfect,... Only special thing is the food mainly comes in huge portions. I go here every now and then, when I'm hungry ;). It's in front of the theater, which comes in handy ones in a while. It has lot's of space, which is equally great. And it is an official seller of Leffe beer, owned by it's brewers. So if you're thirsty when passing buy, don't hesitate to visit.
