This place will catch your eye for all the wrong reasons. It has a brightly-lit neon sign that spells "Hot Baguettes NOW," among its many tacky-lookingmulti-coloredsigns. However,I'd heard from someone at work that this place had the bestVietnamese sandwiches he'd ever had. Granted he wasn't Vietnamese, butwhen I saw the long linesand hoards of people carrying out2-foot baguettes,I said what the heck. My first tip is don't be alarmed by the long lines. They move faster than a fat man at a buffet. At first, you'll rub your eyes in disbelief because all the 10-foot sandwiches are $1.95. I've only had the grilled chicken, and I assure you, there is no catch. The best-tasting 2 bucks I've ever spent. To top it off, they DO have Hot Baguettes NOW. Actually, they bake a new batch every 30 minutes. You can get 2 for $1. Now, I haven't seen baguettes that cheap since France. The only catch is that it's not the most flavorful. I also really like their hot crysanthemum tea. There are a ton of locations in California and one each in Chandler, Arizona and Houston, Texas. Clickto check for one nearby.
