Ledra Observatory Museum

There are not all that many tall buildings inside the old town in Lefkosia - hence the tallest building is the 11 stories tall Ledra building which claims it got a museum. It is not really much of a museum but it does have a few plaques telling a bit of the history of the city.

The main attraction of the place is the view of the city. There is a short audio story telling a bit about the history of the city and during this story it is mention that from up on the 11th floor of the observatory you are not able to see the green line and the city looks like a united city. This is not entirely true because you can see some of the building in the no-mans land which looks like ruins hence you can sense a bit of the Green Line but it is not all that visible from up on the 11th floor.

Hence if you like to see things a bit from the top it is worth spending a few minutes going to the top - because compared to most other viewing places you are unlikely to run in to a crowd so you just go right to the elevator which will take you to the top in no time.
