Le Tonneau de Diogène Restaurant Reviews

May 19, 2007
Le Tonneau de Diogène, I recommended this restaurant due to the location. It is located at Place Notre Dame. Opposite of the restaurant is a museum called L'echeveche and a walking distant to Art Museum of Grenoble. When the weather is warm, you can sit at the outside and enjoying your food. You can see people passing by and also a tram way. The view is nice here. The food is not very expensive and very nice. The waitress is friendly and one of them told me that but incredibly popular with tourists and a good place to meet fellow travellers. It is one of the oldest restaurant, long time ago it was a library of philosophy and until today they organised once a month a discussion of philosophy there. Some of the local called it the Philosophy café. The main customer is students from the nearby Universities. The owner collected an Owl miniature and you can see it in the restaurant. Closed on Sunday evening & Monday lunch.
