This resto is a find! Reservations are absolutely necessary, but the patron doesn't speak English, so if you don't parler francais, ask your hotel concierge to book for you. It's a little closet of a restaurant on L'Isle St. Louis (the smaller island) with only about 15 tables. The chef is incredible- he has either two or three Michelin stars. But there are tons of great chefs- what sets this resto apart is that it is actually affordable!!! You get haute cuisine (the fancy plates, jaw dropping presentation and all!) for under 30 bucks prix fixe (entree, plat, dessert). No wonder this restaurant is booked every night! There's also a live jazz piano player that plays every night- so the ambiance is top. (Closed monday-tuesday)
