Le Regent Hostel Paris Reviews
Affordable, friendly, and great location Aug 09, 2011
Great place to stay. Located literally steps to both a good subway line and a communal bike station. Rooms (I stayed in both a 3 and a 4 ensuite) are small but manageable, two out of three bathrooms were brand new and shower pressure and temperature was excellent. Free breakfast is a big help, but wifi only works in Lobby. Nice common area to meet people, free safety lockers in lobby, washer/dryer for cheap, and great kitchen. Awesome and patient staff answered a million and one questions with a smile. Recommend!

Good location, acceptable facilities Sep 12, 2010
This hotel is advertised as a hostel on some websites. So I was very surprised to find that it is more like a hotel. There is hardly a common area, but the breakfast area is used for that instead.
The rooms seem to have furniture that has not been replaced in over a decade, it is still performing acceptably though. When I was staying here, we were with a group of 4 and only used the hotel for sleeping.
Our room was en suite and the bathroom was larger than the size of the rest of our room led us to believe.
The breakfast was plenty, but not very good. Steer clear of the croissants and you'll be fine though :)
The location is very good however, straight at Anvers Square which has a metro station. It's easy to get around Paris by Metro and as such you have good access to most of the sights.
From Anvers, there is a direct line to the Arc de Triomphe. One transfer to get to the Eiffel Tower. One transfer the other way (Gare du Nord) to get to the Louvre.
If you feel like walking, the Montmartre sights (Sacre-Coeur, Moulin Rouge, et al) are within walking distance.
Main selling point of this hotel is it's great location in Montmartre. Other than that not very good value for money.
