Le Quinta Cortaro Road Reviews

I can't even rate this hotel because we didn't get to stay. However, we did get charged over $75 for an unused room.
It was supposed to be a quick get-away, a night to relax and more important, a morning with no responsibilities-i.e. sleeping in :) However, when I booked the room through Orbitz.com, last week, I didn't realize that I had requested a King Room (smoking)...non-smoking preferred (given based on availability). Now, you would think that if non-smoking was preferred, then it would be given if it was available. Not so with Le Quinta. We were told at check-in that there were "NO non-smoking rooms" left. We thought, oh, well, we can light a candle (that usually kills the smell). However, the smoking room they put us in was so bad that our hair soaked it up in the five minutes we were in there! it was FILTHY-Filled with smoke. We figure that they rented that room to a construction worker for a year or more. We called with our cell and pretended we were someone else and were told by the front desk that there were 3 non-smoking rooms available!! We walked into the front desk and asked for one of the three rooms. She refused. When it came down to it, she said the manager said that we must take the King Room, smoking, because that was what we booked. Even though the King room was "preferred" and the non-smoking was "preferred" they decided to hold us to the King part of the reservation, but not to the non-smoking part! And, they blamed it on Orbitz.com; had we not used them to book, they said they would work with us. I will sleep in my car before I ever give Le Quinta my money again. EVER. |
