Beware of Stairs Oct 22, 2009
The view of Amalfi is great from the main terrace but you might not have a view from your room. The main issue here is the 300 steps leading down to this hotel from the nearest road and the 780 steps further down into the actual town of Amalfi. We climbed both up and down and initially missed the hotel since there's no sign outside. Also, this place is on a steep cliffside and there's nothing else around it, you have many stairs to navigate to get to the nearest restaurant. Beyond that, Amalfi is one big tourist trap. Once you've seen it, you've seen it.
