Loved the Le Meridien!!! Jan 18, 2013
We booked an over water bungalow and although it was more expensive I cannot stress highly enough how blissful it was... it really made our stay extra special.
Very Clean, lovely canopy bed, nice big shower, great view and I loved the fact that the bath tub is near the blinds so girls you can have a bubble bath with a view. A glass bottom panel in the room under the coffee table would have been nice but this really didn't matter to us because as soon as we woke up we were straight out on to the balcony!
We never had any problems with the staff, found most of them to be polite, professional and friendly and the concierge guys were informative with regards to trips etc. One day we decided to take a stroll out to see what was around outside the hotel and upon returning we were trying to take a picture with the hotel behind us and a staff member (looked a lot like a manager) came over and offered to take a picture for us which was very kind of him.
The staff at Le Carre restaurant on Valentine’s day were fantastic, and the special valentines night meal that was on (again a little expensive) but all worth it!!! Lots of great food, romantic atmosphere, perfect view, a flower, candles, champagne and the waiter did his best to find us a nice table.
I booked an in room massage which was nice and the lady was very accommodating... she asked if I wanted it out on the balcony (although it was a little hot and I didn't want to burn so we just moved the massage bed near to the door).
Really enjoyed the sand bottom pool when it was quiet, some days there were exercise classes that were very loud. We pulled sun loungers over to the front of a great lookout spot for a view of the ocean. The waiters were excellent and were always coming over to check if we wanted anything.
We went out Kayaking one afternoon which was exciting, we got caught in the rain and tried to get back in as fast as we could and then ran for cover. The towel and snorkel hut was good and the staffs there were always cheerful and friendly.
The only thing I would say is that yes it is expensive for food, drink, and pretty much anything extra and boy did we get a shock at the end of our stay but we knew it would be before we went and tried to cut costs a little by not having breakfast / lunch every single day of our stay (a couple times we popped over to the supermarket area) for us it was all worth the money we paid and we had a perfect stay and very enjoyable.

A couple of days of indulgence Nov 25, 2009
I stayed at Le Meridien Tahiti for a couple of days because my flights from Easter Island and to Auckland didn't connect.
Although staying at Le Meridien isn't cheap, it's nice to indulge yourself once in a while.
The accommodation is very good indeed with a lot of attention to details.
I had a room with a view on the pool that has a man made sandy beach next to it, very creative.
Staff at both the Pool Bar as the Restaurant are very kind indeed.
At Le Carré Restaurant I had some of the nicest meals I ever tasted also because its location next to the beach and overlooking the lagoon.
The atmosphere sometimes gives that extra feeling !!
If you have the budget I strongly recommend you stay at this great hotel :)
