This is a very modern hotel and the staff was always on top of things.

However it's a across from the train station which attracts a downtrodden demographic on the sidewalks and it's a three block walk from the main pedestrian area.

Stayed June 2012, traveled on business to attend Intersolar Fair

I stayed in Munich for four nights and this hotel provided a great location for all we wanted to see and do. Easy to walk to places of interest and the train station across the way made it easy to go to Sandburg,Zurich and Innsbruck . The hotel was comfortable!

near to underground metro station then you can go easily to MARINEPLATZ, DOWNTOWN .

Great Hotel Location in Munich Sep 25, 2011
The Hotel Le Meridien has a wonderful central location in Munich. It' directly across the street from the central railway station, (Hauptbahnhof). The Munich tram stops right in front and the subway is not far away at Karlsplatz. The hotel is within walking distance of Marianplatz and the historic district. We were easily able to walk over and tour the historic center of the city.

The hotel has a very interesting ambiance. It's artsy and funky at the same time. Someone has very creative decorating ideas. As we were there in the fall, all sorts of autumnal and Oktoberfest decorations were set up around the lobby, including a table full of Bavarian pretzels. (They were for decoration, not to eat!) Anyway, it really puts you in a good mood to take on the city.

The hotel is fairly modern. Our room had two double beds put together, flat screen TV, hair dryer, and a safe. WiFi is available in the lobby, but there is a charge for in-room access. A business center had two internet workstations, but there was also an access charge. (Boarding passes can be printed though.)

An extensive hot breakfast buffet was served with omelets, breads, Wurst, meats, cheese, yogurt, juices, and pretzels. Coffee and tea brought by a waiter.

We arrived before our room was ready, but were able to check our luggage at the front desk so we could begin our exploration of Munich right away. A very nice hotel and recommended.

I remember this place. I stayed at the Sofitel Munich Bayerpost across the street next to the train station. It's quite the convenient locale for getting around Munich.

Expensive but wonderful place Jul 24, 2010
Good if you want to spend 200 euros a night and enjoy living in center of Munich. Everything is a walk away and wonderful place to have a nice city view. Ask for rooms with an outside view. In mild rains looks very scenic (to me :))

This hotel was one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. It gives off an abosolutely hip, modern yet sophisticated vibe that combines the old-world flair that one expects from a European hotel with contemporary amenities all travelers need. It's located in the heart of Munich near the Bavarian Opera House and Marienplatz Viktualienmarkt market, and is right across the Hauptbahnhof railway station. The room is a great retreat from the busy Munich city outside, each coming with a plasma tv, air conditioning, a safe, cable channels, bose cd radio, huge desks, comfy beds, a bathtub, and shower. The service complements the calibur of the hotel. The staff is friendly and always eager to help showing you the best places to see in Munich. When you stay here you feel like you're being pampered and like you never want to leave the room, although you should because you're in the beautiful city of Munich! However, all this comes with a price tag of over 150 euros a night during the summer season. They do have specials if you check the website or you could use Sheraton Points to pay for the room instead. One thing is for sure, though, if you stay at Le Meridien, you'd think Munich was the best place ever and you'd definitely want to come back.
