Le Meridien Ile Maurice Pointe Aux Piments Reviews
The perfect getaway... Jun 08, 2008
This hotel was the most beautiful place that I have ever been. The views were magnificent as soon as I walked into the hotel reception. The beaches are white, the sea is clear blue..it is a dream destination! Here there were so many excellent facilities including so many different watersports! You were treated like royalty-they even served fresh fruit to you while you were outside on the sunlounger and cleaned your sunglasses! This holiday is ideal for families (with a kids club) or couples! Between the food, the beautiful rooms, the clean surroundings, the perfect beaches and the gorgeous pool with a waterfall..this holiday is ideal for everyone!

Le Meridien Ile Maurice Overview
The luxurious Le Meridien Ile Maurice is located on the sheltered bay of Pointe aux Piments, on the northwest coast of Mauritius. The resort is approximately 1.5 hours from the international airport and 25 minutes from the capital city of Port Louis. As well, the lively village of Grand Baie, with many restaurants and bars, is close by.
Typical concrete blocks of rooms, accented by tropical gardens, are surrounded by the large pool and various restaurants and bars. The property is situated on a long stretch of beach with calm waters for swimming. The Asian-inspired lobby is large in size and decorated with dark furnishings and wood. At the lobby bar, there is plenty of room to sit and relax over a drink and the main restaurant is adjacent to the bar.
A good quality resort appealing to both couples and families alike. The resort is in a desirable location, midway between the capital city and the lively village of Grand Baie. The rooms are in excellent condition, all with a sea view, and the facilities are all you would expect and more. The spa, housed in nearly 900 squared metres, is the perfect spot to relax and unwind, offering all the traditional treatments plus yoga, tai chi and meditation.
The 265 guestrooms have contemporary decor in red, burgundy and white with dark mahogany furniture and French windows leading to patios. All rooms offer a separate seating area as well as a terrace or balcony overlooking the sea.
The hotel's spacious deluxe rooms are located in the main building of the hotel and are 50 sq. m. in size. Offering views over the hotel's tropical garden, which leads to the beach and the Indian Ocean, all rooms feature a separate seating area, a king-sized double bed or two queen-sized beds, tea and coffee making facilities, a bathroom with separate bathtub and shower, a 42-inch plasma TV, a minibar, an iron and ironing board, and an in-room safe.
The resort offers guests a choice of three restaurants, featuring international, Mauritian, seafood and Mediterranean cuisine. The main restaurant, located off the lobby, serves both a buffet breakfast and dinner with live cooking stations. The beach restaurant serves an a la carte lunch and dinner in a casual setting overlooking the Indian Ocean. The third restaurant, located towards the end of the resort, offers a Mediterrean-inspired menu for dinner complimented by a specially selected wine list.
The Penguin Children's Club offers supervised activities for children aged four to twelve including games, videos, beach activities and picnics.
