This was such a lovely hotel, though it is called something else these days. Though it may no longer be the same hotel (I stayed there years ago), it was very memorable.

It was far enough down the street away from the tourist traps that it was quiet, fewer children, and lavishly landscaped grounds. It stands near the Sheraton on Cable Beach. The bungalows looked charming. Simply a heavenly hotel.

The pool was rectangular and surrounded by Romaneque pillars and statues, pink Bahamian buildings with white trim and hot pink bougainvillea everywhere.

Service was slow as was typical all over this sleepy Caribbean island, but was very pleasant.

My room had a wall of windows that opened over the ocean at eye level to a coconut tree. Ocean breezes lulled me to sleep.

Jetskis, a casino, and lots of action were just a short stroll down the beach while my hotel was serene and relaxing.
