If stuck in Montreal Nov 09, 2008
Hotel close to St. Catherines (2 Blocks) and next to other more prestige hotels.
They lost our reservation and was not willing to offer anything to remedy the situation until we had suggested a solution. It had been a long day for all and we were not about to look for another hotel with luggage to lug around, plus we have already parked in thier space. After much going back and forth with blame, they finally offered to give us "room at the inn" for a price (more like taking advantage of our needing a place to stay so late in the evening). The main room is clean however the bathroom was not up to par. The pieces are aged and it showed including the floor. The shower curtain is clearly old and the pattern is ancient. The toilet paper might as well have sand on it. The mall uses better toiler paper than that. Breakfast is not included in the price.  Part of the list Some of the Notable Hotels I've Stayed In
