Le Calendal Hotel Arles

Hotel Le Calendal is located in the center of Arles, right next to the gladiatorial theater.
We stayed here for five nights, February second through the sixth. It was superb. Our double room was spacious, also with a large bath. Breakfast is served every morning, it is delicious. They offer toast, yogurt, eggs, fruit. Great!
We also ate supper there for two nights. All the food was great, but there was no menu they just brought us the plates.
The staff was very friendly. When I was sick with food poisoning the maid kept stopping by to see how I was, and brought up tea for me. I was very grateful.
The convenient location is met with the drawback that cars can't get to the hotel, so we had to walk up a hill and a lot of steps with our suitcases, instruments, garment bags... it probably looked like a tornado.
The hotel is really satisfactory, the only thing I could have asked for would be a room on the other side so that I could have a view of the Roman theater!
