Le Boulevard Hotel Venice Reviews
Stayed Here Longer Than I Should Have Jun 26, 2008
The title speaks for itself. Obviously when I got here, I expected a luxury hotel with the works and the big lobby. I was totally misled.
One thing that stood out like a sore thumb were the elevators. They move at a snail's pace, and the maximum capacity was 6. In a hot and humid climate, being stuck in an elevator with five other people is the worst feeling ever. I just took the stairs all the way to the fourth floor, and it was aggravating every single step of the time.
The rooms were average in my opinion... the beds were average sized, the television programming was very limited, and there was a trail of ants starting from the bathroom to the minibar. The only thing that salvaged this room was the air conditioning. They actually had a setting beyond maximum, so it just made you want to stay in there and not go back out.
Funny story... I needed to use the restroom really badly, so I open up the bathroom door. All of a sudden, a giant queen bee just jumps out of the door and I start freaking out! I scream "Cover your eyes!" And I just grab the closest thing to a magazine that I can find, and just start whacking at it. That will be my forever lasting memory of this hotel.
If you haven't figured it out by now, this hotel gets a 2 out of 5. It's a nice hotel in terms of the service and hospitality, but everything else isn't worth the money.
