Lazise Overview

Lazise was founded by the Romans. Its name comes from the latin Lasitium; then Laceses (lake place). It lies on the south-eastern shore of Lake Garda and some 25 km north-east of Verona.

This town is surrounded by walls erected in the XIV century. It has a old harbour, a short but nice lakeside promenade. Lazise have a castle. I suppose it is open for entertainments only.

Lazise has a good choice of hotels, restaurants, cafes and shops.
