Not far from the Polish border I glanced up and saw this statue of a soldier's head up on a little knoll.   I'd been driving for a while and was ready for a stop, so I decided to pull over and check it out.  It's definitely soviet realism style but there isn't any information there as far as what it's commemorating.  There were some flowers at the base of the monument, so at least someone cares about whatever's being remembered.  Anyway, it was nice to get out of the ...
