*This is a continuance of my european trip in fall, 2006So after a couple of days exploring the beautiful cliches of Paris, I somewhat impulsively booked a seat on Busabout (which I had read about before my trip). Busabout is this really cool bus company that offers hop on/hop off bus routes around Europe, with stops in set cities every other day. Little did I know that I would end up being the only american on my busabout adventure, since apparently it's a huge thing for austrailians. Americ...

Hi… Sorry about rushing through the end of Italy… Internet access was expensive and time was about to run out.
So… When I left you, I was in Rome, heading to Switzerland for Christmas with the hope of finding some snow… I’ll start from the start… As I said, 105 euros to get to Switzerland (UGH!!!) but we got an overnight train so that we could at least save a nights accommodation. There was a crazy little Italian man in our carriage on the train that kept telling us off for ev...

It is a small town nestled in a narrow valley. Immense mountains, so steep that they are basically cliffs, border the town on both sides. The cliffs are lined with hundreds of waterfalls, some gushing torrents, others no larger than a trickle. Even though it was raining for most of the time we were there, t...

My two best friends and I flew into Paris armed with our overly stuffed backpacks and Euro-passes. We took a train to Amsterdam then my first time to Berlin (amazing!). Then, we went to Switzerland spending two nights in Lauterbrunnen and then a night in Interlaken. As we headed back to Paris, we stopped to have lunch in Italy because it was Danielle's birthday (and she's dreamed of Italy...being Italian and all). Then, my friends few out and I stayed with a family for another month.

Sorry this didn't end up getting updated that much, too pricey in Europe!! There's a few photos though, use the summary list to see which entries have them. All in all covered Switzerland, Germany (though drunk :) ), Spain with a dash of London.

The only glacier-waterfalls in Europe inside the mountain and still accessible. The Trummelbach Falls belong to the UNESCO Heritage Site Jungfrau-Altetsch-Bietschhorn.
