After our fun night at Hawley House, we needed a bit of a sleep in. No such luck though, we had to be in the restaurant for breakfast and then check out. Our destination today was Launceston, the second largest city in Tasmania. Although we were in Tassie for basically 2.5 days, we were able to do quite a bit.  Traveling with parents is quite a different affair filled with less exercise, more food.  Not necessarily a bad combination in small quantities. On our first day, we went to the Trowanna Wildlife park where we got to pet a koala, see quolls eating dead kangaroo, feed (live) kangaroos, watch Tassie devils fighting for food, and see a wombat.  Not the most "naturalist" experience, but it was a go...

I love Tasmania. I feel so energized when I visit there. Beautiful scenery, friends folks, great wine and food. Couldn't ask for any more.
