Laughlin, Nevada is a tourist community made up of Hotel/Casinos on the west side of the Colorado River. Visitors can try their luck and gambling, go shopping in many of the casinos or shops off the strip, or enjoying many of the aquatic sports on the Colorado River.
Named after the founder, Don Laughlin this area of desert has grown to be a major gambling mecca. On the east side of the river is Bull Head City, Arizona, where Casinos and gaming are not allowed.
The population on Laughlin still today is under 10,000.
The weather here has two season, hot and very very hot.
