L'atelier De JoËl Robuchon @ Mgm Grand Hotel Reviews
fantastic food at L'atelier de Joel Robuchon Oct 16, 2009
In the MGM Grand, this French restaurant was booked and we went without reservation as they opened for the evening and had to sit at the bar, which turned out great anyway. We had a view of the kitchen, and could see the dishes being prepared. They had a 3 course early bird menu which was only $39, we opted for the $75 tasting menu of 5 courses. Although expensive, the food was definitely delicious and beautifully presented. (tasting menu changes all the time, what's on the web now is not what we had then). We thought it was one of the best dinners we have ever had. You should make a reservation though to avoid being turned away! See the photos for the presentation of the dishes!

mum and i had a 6pm reservation. we have always wanted to go there. the restaurant is near the KA theater.
ALL THE PICTURES OF THE DISHES ARE ON THE "VEGAS" BLOG. ENJOY :) L'Atelier -- an artist's studio -- is here referenced as dynamic interaction between kitchen and dining room, chef and diner. It is a distinct departure from the posh cuisine featured at Robuchon at the Mansion. At L'Atelier (pronounced la-tel-yea) dishes are simple, straightforward and utterly appealing. this was an experience. i recommend this restaurant for serious FOODIES. i ordered..... la ventreche - Lightly seared tuna belly with crispy onion rings le foie gras - Traditionally poached cold foie gras served with toast Pommes Puree (mashed potatoes), one of the signature dishes my mum ordered the discovery menu a 9 course meal for $135 l'amuse bouche - foie gras parfait with port wine and parmesan foam la langoustine - langoustine carpaccio with roasted poppy seed dressing les huitres - poached baby kussi oysters with french echire butter l'ceuf - egg cocotte topped with light mushroom cream le potiron - truffled cappuccino of pumpkin with chestnuts le fletan - halibut filet steamed with lemon-thyme butter vegatables le veau - veal picatta served with arugula salad la paypaye - frosted fresh papaya juice. banana sorbet l'arabica - coffee ice cream, espresso mousse and crunchy brownie le cafe - coffee or espresso Part of the LAS VEGAS, LIFE IN SIN CITY travel blog |
