Las Vegas Strip May 10, 2011
If your going to be in Las Vegas you should take a helicopter ride over the strip at night. They are pretty cheap and they will pick you up and drop you off at your hotel in a limo. The views are spectacular. There are many different selections of companies and lenths of flights. I used Sundance the last time I was there and had great service.

The Las Vegas Strip: America's Play Ground. Jul 05, 2008
The Las Vegas strip is a designated road, part of the national scenic byways program based on specific criteria. The designation is based on recreational, cultural and scenic qualities. Apparently Las vegas strip meets all pre-requisits of a national scenic by-way. Of course if you have traveled the scenic by ways of the Americas, you will have a hard time understanding why Las Vegas strip is considered among the 'scenic byways', I did. It is debatable whether or not Las Vegas actually receives more visitors than New York's Time Square.
Through the years, it has been called many names including "city of lost wages", but the two that have stood the test of time are "America's Play ground", and "Sin City". The is no city in the whole of the USA like Las Vegas. To understand why it is called sin city, one must actually visit the strip area. There no exact words to describe what takes place on Las Vegas Blvd, especially when day is done.
There are various activities to engage in while on the Las Vegas strip. The most popular being gambling inside the many casinos the line up the strip. Listed here are some activities for families, friends, children and all other categories of visitors who grace this popular USA destination.
The Belagio Hotel: See the outstanding water fountain at the front of the hotel that plays to different tunes every 30 minutes. There is nothing of it’s kind anywhere else in the world. Fine art gallery inside the hotel. There is a conservatory and the Art of Richard McDonald presented by the Cirque du Soleil, great show at the Belagio.
Ceasar’s Palace: Perhaps the most decorated and busiest of the Las Vegas strip hotel. Built in honor of the roman emperor Julius Caesar, the palace hotel displays a great statute od Michalangelo’s David, exotic cars and has a fountain show of it’s own. Inside the foyer is a great statute of the Greek godess Athena.
Circus Circus Hotel: This is a popular hotel for families. Children enjoy the time of their life in this casino hotel that has dedicated a large portion of their services to pleasing familieis with children. The famous adventure dome and their large circus shows are to marvel at. They feature a 4D special FX theater and motion rides. My daughter has always had fun here.
Encore Hotel: One of the newer hotels on the strip features a great lobby garden and has an eye catching Lamborghini dealership.
Mirage Hotel: The volcano hotel they call it, it features the Secret Garden and a Dolphin Habitat.
The Stratosphere Hotel: This is the tallest building on the Las Vegas strip. It has the Stratosphere tower at the top of which is perhaps the most daring roller coster ride ever made. It is no wonder the ride is called the ‘Insanity ride’.
Wynn Hotel: The wynn is also a newer hotels on the strip. It is also an architectural achievement. It features the lake of dreams and the Penske Wyn Ferrari Maserati.
Mon ami Restaurant: Located below the paris hotel, this restaurant features some of the finest cuisines. The sitting reminds one of the European style dinning. The view from the out door sitting gives you an opportunity to people watch while enjoying delectable dishes and refreshing drinks.
The list goes on and on. The above are only the few that I have managed to see over 9 separate visits to the Las Vegas strip. Perhaps you can do better.
It is a highly recommended destination while in the USA, don't miss it.
