Las Vegas cab from airport to hotel Mar 14, 2016
TIP...when you arrive in Vegas make sure to tell the driver you have been here before so that they don't take you on the scenic route. The fare from the aiport to New York, New York or Monte Carlo hotels, including tip, should be around $20 with no traffic. You can search the website which will give you prices including tips to any destination that you want to go to. If you are travelling with 2 or more people the cost is cheaper than going by shuttle that will take longer as they make other stops.

Gray Line shuttles are an affordable way to get to the Strip Sep 12, 2010
When exiting the airport, follow the signs for shuttles and you will end up outside where there are several companies available. As of 2010, it was $12 round-trip to have a Gray Line shuttle drop us off at our hotel on the Strip. You can buy a one-way ticket, but you save a dollar if you buy a round-trip ticket.

A line can form and the shuttle takes people until its full or it's just time to take off. The inside is clean and is limited to passengers so luggage goes in the rear (the driver will place the luggage according to where peple are getting out). Once you buy your ticket, the lady in the booth will tell you which line to get in as the shuttle doesn't drive from one of the Strip to another; passengers are delivered in a more efficient way. Tips are not inlcuded in your cost and the drivers are usually so pleasant, you can't help but to fork over a buck or a few since you saved so much getting to your hotel in the first place.

Don't cab it unless the shuttles are not serving your hotel. Cabs are best for the outlining hotels, if you want to go straight to your hotel, if it's super late and you'd like direct service or have some other reason, but the most affordably way is to snag a suttle uopn arrival.

If you buy a flight and hotel package using a third party booker, they might offer shuttle service, but it can be about $20; the $8 you save could go towards a drink or a slot machine, but research and make a wise decision. Also check and ensure your hotel does not provide free airport pick-ups before paying for one.

Have fun and good luck.

BellTrans is a great transportation alternative when visiting Vegas and your hotel doesn't offer a complimentary shuttle. Most do not. And being the cheap guy that I am, I also prefer to not pay the cab rates in Vegas or pay daily parking fees at my hotel for a rental car I'm probably not going to use while there anyway! Vegas is a pedestrian city with all the big casinos within walking distance of each other.

The buses pick up outside the baggage claim area. Just go to the window of the small building outside and tell the agent where you're headed. I always purchase a round trip ticket. They'll direct you to one of several vans or mini-buses waiting. You'll be riding with other passengers to various properties along the way so depending on where your hotel is, it could be a short ride or a long one, however, this is the cheapest option for getting to your hotel from the airport.

Clean buses and vans with mostly friendly drivers. Have only come across one jerk in the six times I've used them. Most are very nice. Be sure to tip as it's not included in the fare.
