Madrid's best sangria! Apr 13, 2011
Las Cuevas de Sesamo is often regarded as having Madrid's best sangria and also provides a fun, lively and entertaining crowd. Nothing flashy from the streets, you walk down into somewhat of a cave like room only to find a short stools, red table cloths and a spanish piano man. It's true that the partying and nightlife in Madrid starts fairly late but its best to get there before 10pm or you might be in for a wait. Sangria is served in a small or large pitcher. A large is good for a couple of rounds for a party of 4 and is 10 €. There's not much food on the menu other than some jamon, olives, potato chips and a few other small items but you're not going for the food but rather the sangria and the atmosphere. A few pitchers in and the good times start to roll. Definitely something to check out while in Madrid.
