Laoag Museum Reviews
Rich museum Sep 19, 2008
This was an unexpectedly pleasant stop. A rich museum housed in what I've read as a restored Tabaclera warehouse. It gives you a glimpse of the Ilocano heritage by showcasing Philippine rural life.
The makeshift rooms are complete with vintage but well maintained traditional house accessories. Do be careful though with the rickety wooden steps to the second floor.
Tons of livelihood artifacts used for farming and fishing are also presented creatively.
A small souvenir shop can be viewed below.
Expect the warm weather of this non airconditioned museum but the knowledge to be gained is worth the cheap entrance fee.
Entrance fee: Php 20
