Helping Out Lanta's Animals Nov 28, 2011
Lanta Animal welfare is a non-profit organisation who's objective is to relieve the suffering and pain of Koh Lanta's animals through sterilisation and care.

Lanta Animal Welfare offers tours of the facility and has a dog walking program so that anyone can go and spend some time with the animals. You can walk the dogs to the beach or a stream so that they can play in the water. You can also opt to play with the cats and kittens if you prefer.

If you are looking for something to do more long term you can volunteer full or part time to work in the center. No experience is required.

Lanta Animal Welfare also provides medical care to sick or injured animals as well as sterilisations and vaccinations. They will also help with adoption and fostering animals whether you take an animal back home or just provide a home while you are on Lanta. If these are not options for you, you may sponsor the animal to pay for its needs.

The center relies on donations to run its operations so anything that can be given is greatly appreciated.
