Landgoed Hoenderdaell Anna Paulowna Reviews
A wedding, visit to an estate and an Italian restaurant May 21, 2011
Today my day started early because me and my partner had to attend a wedding at 9.30. It was the wedding of my partner's mother and her boyfriend for 13 years. They finally got married.
After the wedding we went to their home, my partner's childhood home. He left that home in August of last year.
After lunch we went for a surprise, a gift from the newly weds too their children and her parents. Initially we thought it would be laser game, or go karts... but it turned out to be the Landgoed Hoenderdaell. I've heard of it, but never been there before. This is an estate with some form of zoo on it. The homes of the family are of course fenced off.
The estate is open to public and is somewhat buggy and wheelchair accessible. But because the path are paved with semi open concrete block... it could've been much better. The voucher is not up to date, so there should be two petting zoos, but actually there is only one left. The second zoo (in the back) is now being converted to homes for lions and Siberian tigers. At the moment you'll find two zebra's, a wilder beast and some kind of antelope there. The only animals who are being mentioned and I didn't see are the penguin and birds of pray.
All at all, this is money well spend. But I'm not eager to go back any time soon.
