Landal Duc de Brabant Diessen-Baarschot Reviews
Staying in the heart of Brabant Oct 01, 2012
We never stayed at a parc in the Netherlands before but decide to stay in our own country this year. There is loads to do in Brabant and the people are very friendly, so the province was chosen fairly fast.
We rented a house at Duc de Brabant because we were searching for a house with dishwasher, jacuzzi, tanningbed and sauna. Unfortunately for us the house with jacuzzi weren't available but still the luxury house really had that feel. Not because of the interior but the ' spa' we could create ourselves. Who does not want to enjoy the sauna, and tanning bed at home and afterwards relax in a nice warm bath!?!
In the middle of the country surrounded by woods and small villages (but still near the bigger cities), it is great for hicking and cycling. Bicycles can be rented at the main building.
But just sitting in yourt garden enjoying the peace and queit, only being botherd by the occasional rabbit or hedgehock.
The house we rented had 4 Hastens beds so we slept like babies!!!! We orderd the linnen package and the beds were made when we arrived, wich was lovely. We rented the house for two weeks, unfortunately you do not get fresh linnens for the second week.
There are washers and dryers available at the main building, wich work on special coins. Washers and dryers are Miele so it felt safe.
Coins can be bought at the reception, and washing powder is included in the price.
There's also a small shop in the main building where fresh bread can be bought every day (from the bakker in Hilvarenbeek), you can alsoi have fresh bread brought to your house every morning if you like! (for a surcharge)
We had some fries and things from the snack counter. Note that the children's pizza is actually a half regular pizza, so if you want good value, just order the regular pizza for your child and enjoy a piece yourself :)
You can also order barbeque sets and have a nice barbeque at your own house.
There is an outdoor pool, wich is said to be heated but I think it's only heated during the cold months. Doesn't matter, we had loads of fun.
