After all those cold days, I decided we best do something outside on the nice days ahead of us. So, I ended up going to the Saalburg, a roman fort from the 1 century AD, that was there for ca. 160 years. The Fort was rebuild between 1897 and 1907, thanks to Kaiser Wilhelm II. Our trip ended where it started just at a different hotel in Frankfurt. We had our last dinner and hung out and talked with what was left of our group which included 2 tables full. When the snow melts in the mountains we usually get flooded a bit later in the towns and cities further downstream. These pictures were taken a few years back around January or February. Obviously this is not a 'sight' or 'attraction' of Frankfurt as such, but I thought they might be at least a little interesting anyway, documenting the flooding.
