I love traveling, it is a blessing that I am able to do that in the navy. I would never been able to do it on my own.

The train to Munich should leave at 10.30. To have enough time for packing and preparing for this trip in order to not forget anything in hurry, I have taken my holiday since Thursday. Nevertheless I did everything last minute - as I always do^^. Thus I would have missed my train if it hadn't been delayed.

Rising this morning at 8, accomplished with soft rain, we took the highway to Schwarzwald. Just before the border with Suisse, we left the highway in search of a zimmer-frei. Maybe because of the season, or we had just bad luck, we could not any that easy. Instead of that, we found a hotel in Kandern, what had one room for rent for 90 euro.... No way! "Oh,…

Day Three: You Want Us to Park Where?

After a bizarre night where we both woke up a number of times assuming it must be morning, only to learn it wasn’t, we got up, had breakfast and discovered that whatever castle was lit up at night it wasn’t Heidelberg castle because we weren’t near Heidelberg.  So, we decided that should be our first destination.  We drove south only a few more kilometers and made our way into Heidelberg.  What were we thinking?! Heidelberg appears to be a typical German town.  It

It also has a number of small museums very close to Old Town, which detail Heidelberg's rich history. The Main Street and University areas provide plenty of shops/stores and English is widely used for those who don't speak German. Heidelberg is a modern city, yet somehow has managed to maintain an old town feel. I guess I can sum things up by saying I would very much like to live there one day. I've dreamed of relocating to Europe for years and Heidelberg would definitely be my home.

As with every Sunday morning, I woke up with a killing hangover (from the fake Depeche mode concert!). I decided to get out of bed around noon, but soon realized that theres no point since the Germans dont believe on opening their shops on sundays. So instead I lazed around in bed till 4pm watching Grey's Anatomy on my laptop with my brand new internet connection I got on Wednesday. Young (a korean german guy) calls me asking for directions to a laundromat. He called me back 10 minutes …
