Of course I did more than visit the Mercedes Benz museum. I also went to the main train station, walked around the park where the planetarium is, and visited the Schlossplatz

Had a pretty early start today as quite a long drive down to Pforzheim in southern Germany.  On the way we stopped at the old Roman city of Trier for a 3 hour look-around.  Many monuments in Trier have been placed on the UNESCO List of World Cultural Heritage of Mankind, so plenty of interest to keep you occupied including the Cathedral, the throne room of Emperor Constantine, Roman imperial baths and amphitheatre, bridges and palaces. The Christmas Market was in the town …

I had a stand-by ticket from Stuttgart to Brussels, let's hope that I will make it on the flight! Otherwise the trip is over before it actually starts!!!

My brother Tim and I took a trip to experience Bavaria. We stayed with my college roommate who works for BMW so costs would be more reasonable. It was our first time in Europe and we had the time of our lives! I'm sharing this mainly because I had an inside edge from my friend who lives in Munich (less touristy and more real).

Went walking around downtown today with a friend.  Beautiful day outside.  Went to the big bridge (I think it has a name, but i don't know it) and also climbed about a million stairs to the top of the church tower.  It was worth it, cause the veiw from there was awesome!

Before returning to the north, we drove to Heidelberg to look around. It's famous for being a romantic town on the River Neckar, and I was expecting it to be stunning but it simply wasn't. It's a university town and because of the heritage, there are A LOT of arrogant students there. The main road goes alongside the river there as well which isn't exactly picturesque. I'm glad I've been there but I was very disappointed.

Last summer in 2007, I took a long awaited car trip from Sweden to Germany, down to Geneva, the east across the Alps to Vienna, then up to Prague, then north to Sweden. The highligt of my trip was entering a glacier. Very cool!

I've lived and worked in Heidelberg, Germany for 4 months, it was amazing!!

A retropspective look at my trip to "find myself" in Europe a few years back. It took 4 months, I spent $15,000 and I forgot what I was looking for. All in all...a success!!
