After a semester studying abroad, I went around a few countries, where I had contacts to stay with for free. It was a great month and a half and I went to places I hadn't heard of before my visits.

Here are some of my random Photos, I have taken during my travels. These will not have any stories attached to them. Some are flowers, some are from my Astrophotography sessions, some who knows..;)

Summer of 2004 my sister and I drove from Copenhagen to Maulbrunn and Ludwigsburg on a little road trip. We had a great time and met up with friends in the Ludwigsburg area. The Maulbrunn Kloster (monestary) is really worth a visit as well as the castle in Ludwigsburg.

me and my cousin went to Europe in the summer of 2006 on a tour and met some awesome people! ( germany and switzerland were probably my favorite!)

Word Cup 2006 was unreal...the largest outdoor drunk fest ever! It was amazing to see Germany get so far. Cant wait for the next one.

From our cruise we were bused again to Heidelberg, where we could look up at the red-walled castle high on the hill overlooking the city below.  We didn’t have enough time to do any tour of the castle and there was no way we would have climbed the stairs that lead to it, not old fogies like us.  We spent our hour just trying to take in the scenery and the wonderfully elegant homes across the river. October 3The morning was slow, Matthias left and after I finally took a bus when the rain slowed down to Heidelberg. Even if I didnt get to contact Ulrike where I would plan to sleep that night (hc: ilovecanada). Great travel, great people. Had the opportunity to spend 10 days in Germany and travel between Frankfurt and Berlin while experiencing most of the Hessen region. Out of all my experiences during this trip, the German people were the best part of it! I cannot say enough positive comments about Germany, the Hessen region, JCI Germany and all its people.

Schweiz, Deutschland, Sverige, France

Heidelberg will need 2 Blogs as it was without a doubt my favorite stop. This city has a nice little blend of everything from the downtown and oldtown areas to the castle overlooking the city to the river running through town. Heidelberg is also home to the oldest university in Germany. I spent the days exploring both sides of the river and in the evening taking part in the Xmas celebrations. The Castle, which sits atop the city is very well preseved and offers some of the best views.

I felt like I was at the race track on this level.  Here's a view of the coolest car I've ever seen!  This is the 1st Mercedes 300 SLR, first seen in 1955.  The other photos are cool racing mercedes racing vehicles - gotta love the speedy feel of the photos!
