unvergässlich!!! so eine tolle Erfahrung, echt der Hammer!!!

Arrived in Germany as planned, and had the pleasure of sleeping on quite a comfortable floor at the ariport while we wait for our host to arrive in from Sweden. The three of us hop on a train and make our way to Frieburg. Here I add, when I realise that the perfect timing of German trains is not that perfect!!We make it to Freiburg in one peice and looking forward to the forest.

IN PROGRESS........... As my dad died this September, my mom and I didn't want to spend Christmas at home so we decided to go to the Yucatán Peninsula for 2 weeks and there meet up with my Aunt from Missouri.

My blog about our first ride in the Alps. We look forward to the variety of cultures from five different countries. Some of the hightlights we are expecting are: riding the heart of the Alps, the Odenwald Forest, the Black Forest region, the French Alsace region, and mountain passes in Switzerland and Austria. Should be a great combination of Old World history and Alpine riding.

Sooooo habe jetzt mal meinen Rucksack gepackt und bin stolz auf das Ergebnis. 15 leichte Kilos und noch etwa 5 Kilo Handgepäck.... damit lässt es sich reisen. Danke an Cara die effizient zur Verringerung meines Reisegepäcks beigetragen hat (ich nehme das Krümelmonster ^^) Hehe übermorgen gehts los ^^ Melde mich wieder wenn ich in Chicago bin.

this isn't really a blog i must admit, its more a place to collect my pics from my travels this summer around Europe.

Evening in the city center of Stuttgart

We leave early from Senne Hotel with no plan other than driving south. We drive for about an hour then pull off for a quick snack and to have a look at the map to see if there is anything to see. We decide on Worms to get some ‘culture.’ We get to Worms and go the center and well, Worms is nothing but an old Dom (big church) and a nice little shopping street. Nothing worth going in except an H&M. After Worms we decide to just head to Heidelberg to stay the night since it is only another 2…

Ouch, Robert's car was broken into and this changed our travel plans a bit. We were scheduled to take a boat along the Rhine River, but had to handle things at Robert's house first. Oh well, it's all about the journey and we recovered and were soon off again!

This was my first trip abroad for a week during December 2006. It was the best trip I've had to date.
