Lampredotto, an extinguishing delicacy? Mar 21, 2012
I bet nobody ever reviewed such place, but there's a need.

I asked around Florence where to find a lampredotto sandwich (spiced and cooked tripe): "now it's all kebabs!" a local complained, "too late, you only find them at lunch time!" another replied.

Whatever the reason it was so hard to have it that i insisted the morning after ,before leaving florence. Finally an old lady pointed me to the most "stable" vendor, by a street market, open 10 to 7pm. Set the satnav and found it.

Traditional version: Juicy tasteful tripe with a bit of black pepper in a bread bun+a glass of wine=4€

good, good, good!

took pics of the place and bus stop; you figure how to get there :P

Some friendly locals in Florence took me to a kiosk just a minute walk off Hotel Cazaouli. Ordered a lamprodotto with green salsa. Deeelicious!
