For this tour we had to get up at 5:30 in the morning.  Our tour guide was to pick us up at 6:15.  However, we were at our dock until almost 7 before getting picked up!  We had started wondering if we had been gypped!  Luckily we had not paid in full we had only left a $100 depo…

The journey may be as interesting as the ruins of Lamanai itself for the "birder" or a nature lover in general. Lamanai "submerged crocodile,"…

2 Years in Belize: Lamanai Travel Photos

From 2001-'03 I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer at Hol Chan Marine Reserve in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, Belize. I acted as the biologist and environmental outreach coordinator for HCMR. It was a very fulfilling experience. Belize and San Pedro will always hold a little piece of my heart. Note: many of these pictures are scanned images of film photos and are therefore not of a very high quality. They are here for the content. Sorry!
